Madden 27 Bot Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Madden 27 Bot (“the Bot”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when the Bot is installed in or used with a Discord server.

1. Information We Process

The Bot may process information necessary to provide league-management features, including:

• Discord server (guild) IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, message IDs, and user IDs.
• League settings, team assignments, scheduling information, game results, standings, commissioner settings, tournament information, and other league configuration data.
• Public profile information or usernames supplied through Discord or entered into the Bot, such as Twitch or YouTube channel information.
• EA authorization data and franchise-selection settings when a commissioner chooses to connect EA services. The Bot is designed to use authorization tokens rather than asking for or storing an EA account password.
• Operational logs and error information needed to maintain and troubleshoot the Bot.

2. How We Use Information

We use information only to operate and maintain the Bot, including to:

• Provide league setup, team claims, scheduling, standings, game-day, streaming, tournament, playoff, and commissioner features.
• Keep each Discord server’s league configuration separated from other servers.
• Connect to supported EA services when a commissioner enables that feature.
• Prevent abuse, diagnose errors, restore service, and maintain backups.

3. EA Integration

EA integration is intended to be read-only for league information. The Bot does not ask users to provide an EA account password. Authorization credentials may be stored so the Bot can refresh access when needed. Commissioners can disconnect EA integration through the Bot’s available controls.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that are necessary to operate the Bot, such as Discord, hosting providers, and EA services when the EA integration is used. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the Bot, its users, or others.

5. Data Retention

League configuration and related records may be retained while the Bot is installed or while needed to provide the service, maintain backups, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations. Data may also remain for a limited time in backups after deletion from active systems.

6. Data Deletion

Server owners or commissioners may request deletion of data associated with their Discord server. Users may also request deletion of personal data associated with their Discord account where applicable. Requests should include enough information to identify the relevant Discord server or user.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect stored information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Bot is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law or Discord’s terms. Users must comply with Discord’s age requirements.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Bot changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are made.
